The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.
How you will create an impact:
The IT Governance Analyst will support the enterprise information security program by assisting in the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of security risks across systems and operations. The role involves monitoring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, supporting incident response processes, and maintaining security governance documentation and metrics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Support information security risk assessments and maintain risk registers
Assist in policy and procedure development and updates
Monitor and track compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., ISMS, FSS/FSI)
Support the development and delivery of security awareness and training programs
Coordinate and document security incidents and vulnerabilities
Maintain third-party vendor risk assessments and support onboarding due diligence
Prepare security reports and metrics for management reviews and audits
Participate in system reviews, access control audits, and configuration checks
Support the periodic review of controls aligned to NIST, ISO27001, and internal frameworks
Collaborate with IT, Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions on cross-functional security tasks
What you’ll need to succeed:
REQUIRED SKILLS /EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in information security, risk, or compliance roles
Basic understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (SIEM, DLP, vulnerability scanners) preferred
Excellent documentation, coordination, and communication skills
Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Certifications such as Security+, ISO27001 LA/LI, or CISA desirable
Other relevant skills:
Awareness of data privacy regulations and personal data handling practices (e.g., PIPA, GDPR)
Ability to assist in incident response coordination and basic investigation support
Experience supporting security awareness programs (e.g., phishing simulations, e-learning campaigns)
Understanding of vendor/third-party risk considerations in security assessments
Familiarity with access reviews, role-based access control (RBAC), and user entitlement processes
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, especially in compliance reporting
Incident, problem, and change management
Experience in the insurance market and related concepts is desirable
