General Summary

Manage IT operations including implementing Corporate IT policies, procedures and standards to ensure timely resolutions and implementations in alignment with Company strategic goals. Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design, installation, and optimization of technical information systems platforms. Responsibilities include but are not limited to analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware and software, and database management. Provides overall leadership to the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems. Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Requires subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the IT function.

Essential Job Accountabilities

Provide technical guidance and support for field IT operations staff.

Provide guidance on strategic IT planning, technical guidance and application support for Branch Business Managers to ensure alignment with business needs.

Act as a representative of Field IT within the IT Management Team to promote communication and teamwork within the IT Department.

Develop, communicate, and enforce company IT policies, standards and procedures to the field IT operations to ensure alignment.

Build an engaged, self supporting IT team within the operating group to ensure department productivity and efficiency.

Participate with the CIO and direct reports to strategize, manage, integrate and coordinate with overall IT direction.

Assist with preparation of IT-related proposals by performing feasibility, economic and cost-benefit analysis of alternative solutions.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting for field IT operations to ensure budgets are met.

Coordinate large project initial setup and teardown with regional IT resources.

Assist with mergers and acquisitions analysis and related conversions and implementations to ensure a smooth transition.

Provide guidance to Business Unit management to determine future IT needs at the location, enterprise initiatives, budgets, forecasts, licensing and asset rotation to ensure profitability and alignment with Company goals and objectives.

Maintain open communication with local IT staff and local business management to ensure effective problem resolution and establishment of priorities.

Supervise or manage the job performance of business unit or region IT employees and/or consultants including exercising discretion in evaluating job performance and determining appropriate corrective action, analyze work flow, establish priorities and delegate tasks in order to meet deadlines


Education

Any combination of the following qualifications preferred:  Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification or equivalent training and experience.

Work Experience

Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience managing IT operations in a large, multi-site business environment.

Minimum 1 years experience supporting Granite Region IT operations.

Detailed knowledge of company allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas. Provides direction to senior managers in various areas, groups, and/or operations. Requires in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company’s goals.

Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, groups or service areas through personnel who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas.

Proven track record of building consensus and forming coalitions.

Familiarity with balancing cross-functional business initiatives.

Ability to manage, direct, and provide guidance and leadership to personnel in remote locations.

Capacity to solve problems and make decisions in a clear and decisive manner.

Good written and oral communication skills, with the skill to convey ideas to both business and technical team members.

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits may vary for positions located outside of the continental United States.

Base Salary Range: 

$92,964.00 - $139,444.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.  ​
