IT Environment Specialist, Test Ecosystem Management

Reporting to the Release and Environment Management Team Lead, the IT Environment Specialist is responsible for IT non-prod Ecosystems support, providing integration coordination, project assistance for solution recommendation and ecosystem evolution.

The position requires technical expertise and troubleshooting skills on IT Ecosystems, including interfaces, with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with SAP Basis and Solution leads, Managed Services partners, Architects, and other organizations involved in delivering IT products and services to the organization.


YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
 

Follow guidelines and/or drive governance for key non-prod environment driver activities performed by you and/or other IT organizational support teams, business partners or service providers/partners.

Support and coordinate ecosystem implementation, the consolidation of implementation plans, and deployment.

Team expert representative: Provide project assistance and recommendations for ecosystem integration, evolution and/or resolution, while always aiming toward an optimized ecosystem implementation strategy.

Make a key contribution working hand in hand with the SAP Basis Support Team, providing technical operational advice related to ecosystem integration and/or maintenance windows, ensuring proper support teams activities alignment (e.g. retrofit and pre-retrofit).

Act as a specialist in a multi-functional team covering the various test environment management services, such as implementation, maintenance, diagnostics and problem solving.

Manage, coordinate and follow the incident lifecycle efficiently until resolution to minimize service interruptions. Ensure prompt resolution in non-Prod environments and provide assistance and/or recommendations when needed for Prod-related Incidents.

Maintaining clear and concise documentation of ecosystem configurations, test environment processes, methods and best practices.

Partnership with the Architecture group, participate in new solution or service development, establishing future architecture and roadmaps, etc.

Responsible for keeping abreast of changes resulting from project implementation or evolution that are likely to have potential collateral impact on other non-PRD ecosystem elements.

Ensure the best customer experience by continuously improving our ways of working and conducting customer surveys.

Work in close collaboration with your team, as well as develop close relationships with other teams like the release and deployment management analysts, SAP Basis Support teams, Architecture, IT Business Partners (ITBP), Program Office, etc.

Implement, maintain or improve Key Performance Indicators and Metrics.
 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 
 

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related discipline.

At least 8–10 years of IT Ecosystem Systems and Applications support and troubleshooting experience, with expertise in one or more of the following technical areas: Database knowledge, Salesforce, API/ETL, SAP components (e.g. ERP, S/4, FICO, GTS, SCM, SuccessFactors, Concur, Ariba, EWM, IM, MM, etc.).

Solid understanding of SAP ECC & SAP S/4 HANA foundation, related SAP modules, associated SAP Software solutions (SAP GTS & SAP SCM) and Interfaces.

Solid understanding of IT ecosystem architecture.

Functional and technical experience with databases, understanding database architecture and how they are used is an asset.

Knowledge Experience with SAP cloud applications such as: LBN, IBP, CI-DS, BTP, Ariba, Blackline, Concur, Success Factor, etc. would be an asset.

Comprehensive knowledge of SnowFlake data warehousing and analytics would be an asset.

Development experience would be an asset.

A proven ability to work and collaborate in a complex environment and effectively influence diverse teams of stakeholders and business leaders.

A senior profile with a technical background and customer experience.

Solid analysis and problem-solving abilities.

Autonomous in deep-dive test ecosystem troubleshooting and problem resolution.

A go-getter attitude with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, the ability to develop a network of contacts quickly.

Strong communication skills to interact with other IT teams and business users.

A demonstrated desire to continuously develop new expertise, fully support existing non-prod ecosystems and provide proper evolution and optimization recommendations.
