Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking an IT Engineer III responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. This role bridges the gap between development and testing by applying software engineering principles to test automation and quality assurance processes. Duties: * Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient automated test suites for API-based applications * Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into test plans and test cases * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment * Contribute to the design and implementation of test strategies, frameworks, and tools * Monitor and report on test coverage, performance, and reliability metrics
