Job Description
We're looking for a driven and curious IT Engineer to join our Engineering team in Lexington, SC. If you're passionate about building robust, secure, and efficient lab environments, and enjoy solving complex technical puzzles that support cutting-edge development—read on.
This role is all about making engineering run smoothly—from deploying hardened operating systems to managing lab hardware, wiring up racks, and collaborating with global teams. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our engineers can test and build the software that supports real-world emergency services.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations :
Lab Infrastructure Management: Own and evolve the lab environment—design, implement, and maintain a testing space that supports rapid and reliable development.
Hardware Oversight: Take the lead on managing the physical gear—PCs, servers, routers, switches, storage arrays—keeping everything running at peak performance.
OS & Image Deployment: Develop secure, stable OS images for distribution, ensuring consistency across the board.
End-to-End Technical Support: Be the go-to expert for hardware and software support in our labs and data centers, while also assisting with platform qualification and product testing.
Team Collaboration: Work side-by-side with our engineering team, contributing to lab operations and bridging the gap with global IT counterparts.
Infrastructure Implementation: Get hands-on with cabling, racking servers, and configuring enterprise-grade equipment.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field - highly preferred
Experience: At least five years of IT support experience, specifically in Windows Server and network administration.
Location: Must be able to work on-site in Lexington, South Carolina.
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills
Operating Systems: Strong professional experience with Microsoft Windows platforms.
Server Management: Deep understanding of Windows Server, including Active Directory and WSUS.
Hardware Know-how: Skilled in upgrading, maintaining, and troubleshooting PC and server hardware.
Virtualization Pro: Proficient with Hyper-V and managing virtual environments.
Networking Confidence: Able to configure and support switches and routers with ease.
Linux Familiarity: Some exposure to Linux systems is a plus.
Analytical Mindset: A natural problem-solver with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
Excellent Communicator: Clear, concise, and effective in both spoken and written communication.
Team Player: Collaborative, supportive, and ready to jump in wherever needed.
Certifications (Preferred):

Target Base Salary Range: $89,300 - $133,900 USD

Basic Requirements
