IT Enabling Services Lead

Leidos is seeking an IT Enabling Services Lead to join our SCITES 2 team in Doral, FL.

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently is looking for an IT Enabling Services Lead to work onsite in Doral, Florida and have the opportunity to work in a high-profile IT and Cyber Services program supporting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 contract. Our customer maintains a highly demanding mission and requires our support to provide expert technical and professional management support to the commands enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. The IT Enabling Services Lead will provide direct support to the Program Manager and PMO and play a critical role in the successful execution of the program and support for USSOUTHCOM and the warfighter.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee the delivery of specific IT services and activities to the customer (e.g., training, transport services, land mobile radio, SATCOM, logistics services, warehouse services, personnel security, management and oversight of the U.S. DoS diplomatic pouch system, special event services, country/location-specific services in the USSOUTHCOM AOR, and other related enabling services) to enable and execute operations across DAO SOUTHCOM.

Ensure IT services are aligned to meet user needs, maintain high availability, and align with mission goals. This involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of IT enabling services, managing the entire service lifecycle from IT enabling service need to delivery, and ongoing support.

Allocate resources effectively to support IT enabling service delivery and support project priorities.

Deliver physical security services which will enable the security of physical IT assets, security logs, and compliance with USSOUTHCOM policies and procedures.

Oversee communication transport services for wireless, cellular, satellite, and long-haul operations and coordinate handling of U.S. DoS communication transport services with DoS or other vendors as required.

Provide terrestrial and non-terrestrial mission-critical reliability and performance for military and commercial SATCOM mobile radios, base stations, repeaters, transmission platforms, subsystems, and supporting environmental equipment.

Oversee the delivery of inside and outside cable plant services supporting fiber, copper, low voltage, direct burial, aerial, conduit, inner ducting, main distribution frame, intermediate distribution frame, and end-user services.

Manage and coordinate warehouse operations to ship, receive, dispose and store all IT equipment in accordance with local and U.S. DoS-certified warehouse requirements for CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Ensure vehicle operations services are provided in support of IT and ancillary equipment logistics throughout the AOR. Vehicle operations services will be used for transporting IT equipment between Government warehouses and contractor personnel throughout the AOR.

Ensure that IT enabling services adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and meet high standards of service quality. This also involves compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.

Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously evaluate and monitor IT enabling services and processes and identify areas for enhancement and improve workflows and service delivery.

Provide technical assistance to users by addressing complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventative measures.

Communicate with various departments and stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure smooth IT service delivery.

Oversee and lead teams involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of communication equipment and systems.

Stay current with industry trends and technologies to improve installation processes and service quality. 

Required Qualifications:

BA degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or master’s with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.

Must be a US Citizen and possess a secret security clearance.

Familiarity with specific communication technologies and equipment, such as networking, VoIP, satellite, microwave, radio, fiber optics, wireless systems, data communications, and related hardware.

Familiarity in installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing communication equipment, including physically setting up devices like routers, switches, and modems.

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with the customer, team members, and stakeholder.

Ability to coordinate projects, define scopes, timelines, and deliverables.

Proven ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Ability to create and maintain clear documentation for system configuration, network diagrams, training, and troubleshooting guides.

Strong understanding of and experience in implementing safety and cybersecurity protocols.

Familiar with specialized tools and testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and fiber optic testers, for verifying the integrity and efficiency of the network.

Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborative environment.

Excellent ability to adapt to new technologies and learn new skills.

Knowledge of IT logistics and supply chain management and processes to include real-time tracking and visibility, inventory management, transportation and logistics, operations optimization, regulatory compliance, and mitigating security vulnerabilities and logistics and supply chain disruption risks.

Understanding of warehouse management daily operations, inventory control, workforce management, layout and operations optimization, safety and compliance.

Understanding of vehicle services to include vehicle requisition and maintenance, driver management, route planning and optimization, real-time tracking and monitoring, compliance management, and performance analysis.

Skills in tracking and managing IT assets, utilizing inventory management software, and implementing efficient processes for procurement, tracking, and disposal.

Understanding of configuring and installing IT equipment, including testing and preparation for deployment in customer environments.

Understanding of transportation, distribution networks, and coordination with vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP

ITIL 4

CompTIA Network+

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent

Understanding of relevant telecommunications systems and networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls and software.

Thorough knowledge of relevant software applications including operating systems (like Microsoft Windows), productivity suites, and collaboration tools (like Microsoft Teams and Zoom)

Clearance Requirements:

Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance at time of consideration.

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
