Palladium is currently implementing an FCDO-funded project aimed at strengthening the Public Financial Management (PFM) capacity of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) at both national and decentralized levels. As part of this effort, the project seeks to recruit consultants to support the expansion of the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) to GHS and its Budget Management Centres (BMCs). The consultants will report to the Technical Lead, under the overall oversight of the Project Team Lead.
These are locally hired positions and do not include moving expenses or expatriate allowances. Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Ghana.
ObjectivesThe IT Consultants will provide technical support to the SPFM Project team, ensuring that all project-related IT systems, tools, and equipment are effectively deployed, maintained, and utilized as well as support the system customizations of GIFMIS. The role will support both office-based operations and field-based workshops, ensuring smooth IT functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to the efficient implementation of the project. The role entails:
Provide technical guidance and support on IT-related work for the SPFM Project. Set up and troubleshoot equipment (laptops, projectors, audio systems, internet connectivity) to ensure smooth workshop delivery. Travel with project teams to field locations to provide on-site IT support during workshops and training events. Label and configure laptops for project use, ensuring they meet project and partners requirements. Label and maintain an inventory of laptops and other IT assets used in project implementation. Collaborate with project staff to identify and implement IT solutions to support project objectives.· Offer ongoing technical support to GHS staff on hardware and software issues related to GIFMIS.
· Prepare and submit regular progress reports on support activities.
· Carry out any other IT-related duties assigned by the Project Team.

Contract TypeThis consultancy will be a fixed price deliverable-based contract. Acceptance and approval of the deliverables will be determined by the Project Team Lead. All logistics and field related cost will be covered directly by the project.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience of Consultant Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related filed. 3-4 years working experience as an IT systems Administrator Experience providing field support to a large number of users in multiple locations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Experience with Monitoring and Evaluation of IT systems.
