Role and responsibilities:

Provides technical leadership on the implementation of postgres and the design of large-scale technical solutions based on business requirements Architecture, installation, configuration for postgresql. Implement replication, high availability and disaster recovery solutions with postgres. Repmgr and efm tools used for high availability. Proficient with postgres database management tools like edb enterprise manager (pem), edb’s backup and recovery tool (bart) Performance tuning for databases. Export / import for postgresql databases. Oracle to postgresql migration exposure. Dblink from oracle to postgresql and vice versa. Pem monitoring tool. Pgbadger report for monitoring. Desirable to have shell scripting knowledge. Knowledge of ansible. Postgresql – audit and security. Experience in 24 x 7 global operations support. Should be flexible in working on rotational shifts, if needed. The candidate must also have great oral and written communication skills due to a high level of interaction with customers
