The job

The Business Partner role is the key link in the chain between our business functions and IT. Their ability to understand business challenges and turn those into actionable IT project recommendations that drive business value is paramount. Listening, effective communication and the ability to influence are a must have as a Business partner. One day you might be talking about an R&D infrastructure challenge and the next day you will be discussing the best way to address sales renewals automation.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Business Alignment: Understand the overarching business strategy, objectives and priorities of AVEVA as well as their aligned function. Translate these high-level business needs into potential IT opportunities and demands that drive business value and AVEVA strategy.Business Value: Ensure programs, projects, and initiatives meet stakeholders' and IT’s needs and deliver maximum value, efficiency and competitive advantage.Client Understanding: Listen to, understand and anticipate business clients' needs and concerns.Risk Identification: Support the identification of risks in our environment that may adversely affect AVEVA operations, and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.Domain Knowledge: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of stakeholders' functions and enabling technologies. Maintain full knowledge of the systems and applications deployed and their usefulness to ensure AVEVA achieves value for investment.

Essential requirements

7+ years of relevant functional experience.3+ years of experience championing organizational evolution, e.g., leading initiatives, products, services, or interactions.3+ years of experience hands on in technologies relevant to the function.A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is preferred.

Desired skills

Present strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.Demonstrate strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills.Identify new ways for IT to support the business strategy.Possess strong financial skills, including ROI calculation, business case development, and RFP creation.Able to distill complex business problems into simple terms.Demonstrate clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between IT initiatives and business strategy.
