IT Business Analyst Intern

The Position

As an IT Business Analyst, you will contribute to a variety of projects and initiatives within Informatics, a global organization that enables business strategy across all 3 divisions of Roche: Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics and Diabetes Care. As a member of the Product Analysis and Consultancy (PAC) Chapter, you will be partnered with Senior Business Analysts, Technical Consultants, and User Experience (UX) experts, executing on IT projects throughout the entire digital product life cycle. You will also work closely with IT Product Managers, IT Development Teams, and Business Stakeholders to build and improve IT solutions that make valuable contributions to the organization.

The Opportunity:

In this internship, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of dynamic areas that will improve your development and build your business acumen. These areas include Data Science & Machine Learning, Commercial Data & Insights, Medical Analytics & Productivity Tools, Disease Area Strategy, Advanced Therapies & Medical Products, Medical Affairs & Clinical Trials, Marketing Planning & Automation, Patient Engagement & Retention, and Technical Operations & IT Infrastructure. 

Understand and align internal and external customer expectations and communicate with the project team and various stakeholders to attain their support.

Collaborate with project stakeholders and domain experts to elicit requirements for new applications, service enhancements and/or modifications to existing platforms.

Partner with extended Product teams to examine, test and review enhancements, creating supporting documentation such as test scripts, process flow diagrams, training and system documentation specifications.

Support the execution of user acceptance testing (UAT), user training on new technology solutions, and conduct usability analysis to identify design improvements and new features in our existing digital solutions.

Participate in and drive various IT community building events, Roche Canada corporate events and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities throughout your term. 

Who you are:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology, Information Technology, Science and Business, Healthcare, Data Analytics, Computer Science and related fields.

Demonstrates a desire to learn more in Healthcare Information Technology, Business & Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or pursue a career in IT and/or the Biotech industry, with familiarity in the Google suite of components.

Possesses critical thinking skills to implement IT business solutions, along with excellent listening, written, and verbal communication abilities.

Enjoys collaborating with large multi-functional teams in an Agile environment. Experience in requirements elicitation is an asset.

Has the drive to work autonomously, navigate roadblocks, be resourceful, and shows a passion for being a team-oriented player.

Additional Information

This position is a 8 or 12 month work term (full-time) and will begin January 2026.

Position located in Mississauga, ON.

Our team follows a hybrid work structure (minimum 3 days in the office).
