CTG is seeking to fill an IT Business Analyst opening for our client in Rochester, MN. Location: Remote Duties: Serve as a liaison at the project level between the internal customer community, IT development teams, and end customers. Gather, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for enhancements to applications, including both internally developed and purchased software systems. Ensure requirements are fully defined according to Software Development Lifecycle and project management processes with a focus on ITIL-based service and knowledge management. Facilitate meetings and documentation, development, testing, communication, education, implementation, and support needs for application and quality improvement projects. Provide change management and governance recommendations for application releases and review testing plans to ensure requirements are met to obtain customer acceptance of deliverables. Collaborate with groups inside and outside the department to advance the Business Analysis role. Support project teams in understanding and applying Business Analysis processes and tools effectively (interviews, document/system analysis, surveys, use cases, storyboarding, workflow analysis, etc.). Required: Significant communication and collaboration skills. Experience with ITIL-based Service Management tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge and experience writing and analyzing requirement specifications. Understanding of application development methodologies and the software development lifecycle. Problem-solving, negotiation, and team coordination skills. Experience working with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts. Ability to recognize computer-related incidents and symptomatic patterns to assist in problem/root cause analysis. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and create ITSM-related solutions. Experience managing both custom-developed and vendor-supplied applications. Cloud experience (Azure/GCP). Requirements gathering proficiency. Familiarity with Azure DevOps. Preferred: Understanding of ITIL philosophy. Experience in working with healthcare technology. Experience: Demonstrated success in business analysis within IT environments. Proven ability to create a network of support and business resources. Ability to handle workflow policy issues independently if management is unavailable. Education: High School Diploma / GED and four (4) years of Business Analyst training/certification and experience; OR Associate’s degree and two (2) years’ experience as a Business Analyst; OR Bachelor’s degree. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
