IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a talented IT Business Analyst to join our Technology team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in our Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role is part of our technology team supporting the development and delivery of online medical claims and member enrollment solutions for Korea and Japan. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, vendors, and technical teams to identify business needs, define process requirements and system specifications, and implement the solutions.  

We will count on you to:

Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear requirements and user stories, ensuring the successful delivery of product solutions.

Provide traceability of business requirements to IT solutions and ensure system testing encompasses existing capabilities as well as future functional requirements.

Analyze, design, redesign, and document “as is” and “to be” business processes.

Ensure that all documentation is thorough, accurate, and adheres to organizational standards, including process maps, and user stories.

Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of the requirements.

Support testing and validation of product features to ensure they meet business needs.

Conduct or facilitate acceptance testing with the user community, including developing UAT test scenarios and scripts.

Develop and deliver training and supplemental materials, providing support to end-users and internal teams as needed.

Partner with Business/IT to define and manage scope for each release.

Support the product lifecycle from planning to deployment, including prioritization and backlog grooming.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Proven experience fulfilling the role of a Business Analyst within the insurance industry.

Demonstrable experience across a range of projects, both technology and non-technology.

Strong business requirements analysis, written, presentation, and communication skills.

Practical experience with SQL database queries.

Over 5 years of experience analyzing business problems and designing solutions.

Ability to elicit, articulate, and document process models, requirements, and business scenarios using user stories.

Stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to gain consensus and sign-off.

Ability to build strong working relationships with IT and business managers.

Ability to speak Japanese or Korean is preferred.
