IT Business Analyst

Introduction to role

This role involves hands-on business analysis on major programs, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver top-notch results that exceed expectations. You'll be part of a dynamic team in our Lisbon office, reporting to the Business Analysis Lead, and engaging with peers across various functions for professional development.

Typical Accountabilities
- Business Needs Identification: Operate at an enterprise level to assess and define business needs and areas for improvement. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance and align with strategic goals.
- Business Analysis Planning: Select appropriate analysis approaches based on complexity, risk, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies. Plan and manage activities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
- Stakeholder Analysis & Change: Identify stakeholders primarily from HR and build relationships according to their needs and influence levels. Contribute to communication plans and change management.
- Requirements Analysis and Design Definition: Manage requirements plans including elicitation, approvals, processes, RAID, and scope impacts. Partner with the Architecture team to ensure technical solutions deliver agreed business benefits.
- Business Case Definition: Shape and define business cases, producing detailed justifications for investment including ROI and benefits realization.
- Solution Evaluation: Analyze solution proposals and articulate supporting reasoning, assessing business readiness and maximizing value vs. spend.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT Business Partners, process owners, IT Architecture, delivery teams, Test Lead, and Change Management/Communication Lead.

Essential Skills/Experience
- Degree in relevant discipline or formal certification in business analysis practice.
- Proven experience deploying various business analysis tools/techniques for business change.
- Experience working with complex integrated systems using creative and strategic thinking.
- Strong engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Business acumen; challenge, negotiation, and influence.
- Presentation, communication and facilitation skills.
- Customer Focus; Stakeholder Management; Networking.
- Planning, business process management and requirements management.
- Experience in virtual collaboration to lead innovative solutions.
- Experience mentoring, coaching or developing others.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers/vendors.

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Lean SIGMA training.
- Practical usage of Agile Methodology.
- Experience in a global organization with complex/geographical context.
- Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge.
- HR business awareness/business domain knowledge including HR systems (e.g., Workday HCM).
- User Centred Design (User Experience, User Interface Design).
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
