**This is a part-time position, requiring about 20 hours per week for roughly six months**

 

General position summary:

The IT Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the IT department by ensuring the smooth execution of the Windows 11 upgrade project. This position will assist with system upgrades, providing technical support to users, and maintaining the overall functionality of IT systems. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The IT Assistant will also be responsible for following up on technical issues and ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Contact approximately 20-30 individuals each week who are slated to receive Windows 11 upgrade, remote into their PC, verify their OneDrive is signed in and Microsoft Edge is signed inAssist specific users (identified as not having enough drive space for Windows 11 upgrade) with cleanup/free up of disk spaceFollow up with users post upgrade and report any issues/errors to Cloud Team

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Computer Operations:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, accounting/billing, HRIS, timekeeping and other applications used in the performance of job duties.

Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workdayAbility to multi-task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work .
