Join our dynamic IT team as an IT Asset Administrator, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining oversight of IT assets across the business. From auditing stock at multiple locations to ensuring our asset database remains accurate and current, your work will directly support operational efficiency. You'll take ownership of purchasing processes—raising purchase orders and liaising with trusted suppliers—and coordinate the responsible disposal of assets at end-of-life. This is an ideal opportunity for someone organised, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced and evolving IT environment.

 

Where: Brighton

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Full time Salary: £25,077 Dependent on experience (Based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)

Responsibilities Key Activities

 

Keep the asset management database up to date and work with other teams to help embed the culture of updating records whenever equipment is moved.Work with the Asset Team Leader to improve processes in relation to asset management and the provision of IT equipment.Produce reports relating to IT hardware, it’s status and location within the business.Work with internal IT teams on improving device compliance by following up with last know owners of non-compliant devices.Be responsible for the purchasing of IT equipment by raising POs and working with CGL suppliers.Identify opportunities for cost savings by reporting on IT spending.Help to maintain an onsite stock room and work with field engineers to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.Build and deploy both smartphones and laptops to CGL colleagues.

 

Person Specification

 

Essential Criteria:

Attention to detail with a good understanding of the metrics needed to improve asset management.Experience of using Microsoft Excel to interpret and manipulate datasets.A fast learner with the ability to use initiative to improve commonly used processes.Experience of using ITSMs to manage incidents and requests relating to asset management and compliance.Strong written and oral communication skills.The ability to produce procedures and supporting documentation.Excellent communication, planning and organising skills.Able to prioritise effectively based on organisational impact and urgency.The ability to work with minimum supervision at times.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience of Microsoft Intune.Familiarity with ITIL processes.Knowledge of ISO27001 standards.
