SUMMARY
The Healthcare Application and Adoption Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing senior living and clinical application solutions that precisely align with the organization’s healthcare needs. This role ensures that new solutions are adopted smoothly by clinical and operational staff, and that support teams are fully equipped to maintain and support these solutions. The engineer will collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, IT leadership, and support staff to ensure the successful integration of technology into care workflows.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Nursing, or a related field required; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems – CPHIMS) preferred.5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical application deployment, or a related role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.Proven record of accomplishment of designing and implementing clinical application solutions and driving user adoption.Experience supporting and training IT support teams and clinical users.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of healthcare application systems, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in application integration, system configuration, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Make.com) is a plus.Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving, leadership, and change management abilities.Able to display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization in accordance with our PROUD standards.Able to understand and follow facility and department safety and emergency procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB
Hear, speak and effectively verbally communicate, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with clinical staff, IT personnel, vendors, and stakeholders across the organization.Perform extended hours of computer work for application configuration, system analysis, and documentation development.Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and fine motor skills for precise system configuration, troubleshooting technical issues, and reviewing detailed clinical workflows and technical specifications.Travel between different facilities and clinical areas to provide on-site support during application deployments and training sessions.Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call rotation to support after-hours system issues and go-live events.8:30am - 4:30pm
