Kforce has a client in Phoenix seeking an iSeries Engineer to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities: * Administer and support enterprise-grade server infrastructure, including virtualized environments and hardware management consoles * Maintain and upgrade operating systems, applying patches and tuning systems for optimal performance * Manage backup and recovery solutions, including virtual tape libraries, snapshot technologies, and secure archival systems * Support high availability configurations and disaster recovery strategies * Oversee enterprise storage systems and integrate them with data protection workflows * Use command-line tools to manage hardware, virtualization layers, network switches, and storage platforms * Conduct capacity planning, system health monitoring, and recovery testing * Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for infrastructure-related issues * Collaborate with vendors and third-party support teams to resolve escalations and drive continuous improvement * Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures * Participate in audits and ensure compliance with security and access control standards * Perform other duties as assigned
