Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Support the end users on incidents logged in our online ticket system, help requests by phone or people walking inSupport basic level Windows server and UnixTake care of hardware installation (PC, Server, Laptop, Printer)Support on network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)Support the employees in the warehouse (scanners, tablets, automation)Coach and train our end users on the usage of tools, applications and basic knowledge of IT (self-service)Perform daily checks of backups/systems as well as making sure that these checks are administered in a portalSupport Tier 1 and Tier 2 for Infrastructure and TechnologyManage disaster Recovery and High Availability plan for systemsManage IT budget and procurementSupport on solving issues with PCs, Printers, Laptops and Servers (Windows/Unix)Safeguard and improve (cyber) security and access control where possibleMonitor system downtime and resource utilizationContribute to a good and strong relationship with our local service providers and suppliers

 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university; or one to two years related IT experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong network policy, topology, LAN, IP Standards knowledgeTechnically proficient in Expeditors’ systems and processesProactive for improvements in these processes by automation of tasksInterpersonal skillsCustomer service driven, solution-focused, and innovativeSoftware proficiencyEnglish language proficiency
