Note: Benefits may vary based on position type and/or level **Job Summary** The EBI Developer 2 creates and maintains advanced business intelligence systems. This includes designing, developing, testing, implementing, and updating data platforms. The Developer 2 may have expertise in BI/reporting, ETL, and database technologies. They partner with team members to ensure best practices in designing, coding, and testing solutions. These solutions handle data movement, testing, database objects, and data visualization. They manage tasks that are moderately to highly complex and difficult. **Essential Functions of the Role** + Examines detailed end user specifications. + Design and develop solutions to accommodate business requirements. + Improves process performance and works with DBAs to optimize query response times. + Implements procedures to maintain, monitor, backup and recovery operations for the environment. + Helps production deployments and automation. Helps with solving production and performance problems. + Sets security standards for environments like development, testing, and production. This includes security measures for projects, roles, users, and privileges. + The job involves installing, configuring, and upgrading BI software. It also includes responsibility for managing the repository and metadata information. + Performs code reviews and design and develop test plans for unit testing. + Helps EBI Developer 3 to maintain inventory of all the jobs and processes and their SLAs. **Key Success Factors** + Must have experience in development using ETL or BI tools. + Must have experience in Data Warehousing, with thorough knowledge of dimensional modeling. + Candidates must have experience in database development and should be proficient in SQL and PL/SQL. + Exceptional knowledge of data functions is required. + Experience with SDLC a must, exposure to Agile/SCRUM practices is ideal. + Must have excellent documentation and communication skills. + Preferred experience with IBM Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server, and ETL tools like Netezza and Informatica.
