Job Summary: The Irrigation Specialist is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding hydraulic components of the computer-controlled irrigation systems throughout Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. In this role, we are diligent self-starters that can quickly evaluate many types of irrigation systems. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $24.76 per hour.

Responsibilities: Managing the maintenance on all components of computer-controlled irrigation systemsWe take ownership of installing, testing, and maintaining irrigation equipment including sprinklers, pumps, water lines, and suction valvesMaintain and evaluate existing hydraulics in irrigation pipingDiagnose pressure loss and the ability to calculate flow velocityConduct installation(s), repair(s), electrical fixing, and auditing of existing irrigation systemsCast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and suppliesAdditional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required Basic Qualifications: Valid Florida driver’s licenseCertified Landscape Irrigation Auditor certificationUnderstand basic irrigation design, irrigation equipment, and electrical principles.Minimum of 5 years’ irrigation experienceProven experience with computer-controlled irrigation systemsKnowledge of irrigation principles and practices such as soil to water and plant relationshipsKnowledge of hytrol valves and piloting systems such as Cla-Val, Watts or AmesProficiency using diagnostic tools such as: multimeters, flow meters, fault finders, locators, and leak detectorsAbility to read blueprintsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsEffective communication skills both written and verbalProficiency in Microsoft office software programs and mobile electronic devices Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in Math Additional Information: Schedule Availability:
