Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IronWorker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hoisting, connecting, and aligning steel components to form structural assemblies. This role requires precision and expertise in welding and bracing structural steel to ensure the stability and integrity of construction projects.

ResponsibilitiesHoist and rig steel components safely and efficiently.Connect structural members using bolts and fasteners.Align steel assemblies accurately for construction stability.Perform welding and bracing of structural steel elements.Essential SkillsProficient in construction, iron work, and structural steel handling.Experience with concrete work and reinforcement techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints or sketches.Skill in hoisting steel beams, girders, or columns.Competency in cutting, bending, or welding steel using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment.Experience unloading and positioning prefabricated steel units.Proficiency in cutting rods to required lengths and fitting wire mesh or fabric for concrete reinforcement.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role requires standing and walking for extended periods and lifting items over 40 lbs. You'll work in both indoor and outdoor environments, facing various weather and temperature conditions. Noise levels may vary, necessitating ear protection. Expect to work in cramped quarters and at high elevations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
