IPS Strategic Account Manager

Our Industrial Paint Solutions division has an important role available operating from our Omaha, NE, location. Light-duty manufacturers throughout the Midwest have come to rely on our range of industrial coatings. In addition to experience with traditional liquid coatings, we are experts in powder coating, specialized military coatings, unique industrial finish applications, sign paint, and other industrial applications. We provide high-quality solutions to all types of customers, including large and small trucking companies, OEM job shops, agricultural manufacturers, metro transit authorities, and sign companies.
This position is a hybrid role that has three important primary functions:
1) account management and business development within existing customers; 2) outside sales and new account business development; 3) technical consultation
Account management and development: this role will have primary responsibility for managing several high-profile strategic accounts. This includes in-depth customer knowledge and service, relationship management, and heavy collaboration with customer teams
New account development: a component of this role is to develop new customer relationships and revenue streams from accounts that we currently do no or limited business with
Technical consultation: serve as a Subject Matter Expert in providing ongoing expertise and technical consultation to our customers
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Actively manage and monitor vital strategic customers and collaborate to ensure exemplary service levels are maintainedMaintain high levels of product and technical knowledge to serve as primary Subject Matter Expert and technical support with our customersMeet or exceed all revenue targets via cold-calling, effective account management, and goal-driven accountabilityCreate and carefully manage annual account planning for existing and potential customers, including detailed proposalsDevelop and utilize effective sales tracking and customer relationship management methodologies. Maintain accurate call reports and other activity reporting.Maintain close working relationships with our vendors to promote sales and customer service. Ensure our product offerings align with our customers’ wants and needs and make appropriate recommendations.Ensure effective internal communication and feedback so our business processes align with our commitment to service!Physical/Other Requirements
