IP Licensing, Manager
**Company:** Qualcomm Incorporated **Job Area:** Legal Group, Legal Group > IP Licensing **General Summary:** The IP Licensing Manager reviews, analyzes, and manages intellectual property data to identify issues, ensure licensee compliance with licensing agreements, and identify licensing opportunities. This role adheres to Qualcomm policies and procedures related to IP licensing and industry best practices to address compliance needs effectively. The manager acts as a liaison to other teams to find creative solutions to issues and support overall IP licensing goals. The candidate will generate reports and insights based on data to facilitate informed decision-making regarding licensing agreements. They will directly manage the licensing certificate processing team, as well as assign and review their daily work and deliverables. **Minimum Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. • 5+ years of experience managing and analyzing data. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. + 7+ years of experience managing and analyzing data. + Position requires full-time onsite presence in the San Diego office. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. + 8-10 years of experience within a global public company, preferably in the high-tech industry, audit, accounting, or finance. + 7+ years of relevant experience in data analytics. + Supervisory/management experience. + Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. + Strong people management skills. + Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. + Fast learner with strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. + Willingness to take responsibility and get things done. + Ability to recognize and apply a sense of urgency when necessary. + Positive attitude, professional maturity, and good work ethic. + Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines with high-quality deliverables. + Previous interactions with senior-level directors and VPs. + Advanced proficiency in TM1, Tableau, and Excel. **Principal Duties and Responsibilities:** + Apply knowledge of Qualcomm policies, regulations, requirements, and rules to support IP licensing activities. + Supervise the team on priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. + Review the team's work products. + Provide guidance and instruction on processes related to IP licensing data, including licensee royalty certificate processing, customer research, and product specifications. + Oversee the Fund Agreement data process to provide inputs for downstream teams in the fund approval process and supervise the fund agreement data summary project for quarterly management. + Ensure data integrity and accuracy in TM1 databases while overseeing team workflows and deadlines. + Mentor and develop analysts by offering direction, training, and performance feedback. + Ensure adherence to licensing terms and implement best practices in data analysis. + Represent the team with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve IP licensing objectives. + Complete assignments and deliverables with minimal oversight. + Create ad-hoc and regular reports and provide data-driven insights that support licensing decisions. + Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and implement new approaches to licensing data management. + Support Corporate Legal or other groups with litigation and data requests. + Coordinate and lead the QTL summer internship program.
