IP Docket Specialist
We have an outstanding career opportunity for anIP Docket Specialistto join a large Law Firm located in theChicago, IL, This is a Hybrid role 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Must have experience in Intellectual Property including Patents, and trademarks. Responsibilities : + Manage all docketing activities related to Intellectual Property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. + Use IP-specific software (such as CPi) to accurately calendar and track deadlines for domestic and international IP filings. + Generate customized docket reports for attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff as requested. + Follow up with legal teams on upcoming docket deadlines and ensure timely clearance of completed items. + Oversee and execute projects related to docketing improvements or updates. + Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and procedures regarding docketing practices. Basic Hiring Criteria : + Associate's degree or higher preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. + Minimum 3–5 years of IP docketing experience in a law firm or corporate setting preferred. + Deep knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark procedures. + Familiarity with online IP databases and systems such as PAIR, ePCT, TSDR, etc. + Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. + Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. + Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Experience with CPi docketing software strongly preferred. Salary: $70,000 - $78,000 Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
