Danfoss is seeking a highly skilled IoT Specialist to join our dynamic Data Center Solutions team. You will leverage your expertise in IoT technologies, data integration, and real-time data analysis to create accurate and insightful digital representations of physical and virtual systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the infrastructure and processes for collecting, processing, and utilizing data from IoT devices deployed in data centers.

 

In this role, you will work both with your individual tasks and responsibilities as well as with managing and owning several digital projects. The position requires a collaborative and flexible approach, as you will be working individually on projects, but at the same time collaborating a lot in cross-functional teams with software developers, external partners and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing Design and implement IoT architectures for collecting data from various sensors and devices deployed within data center environments. Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing data from IoT devices. Develop and maintain the digital twin infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and security. Collaborate with data engineers to integrate digital twin data into various applications and analytical models. Develop and implement processes for monitoring the performance and health of IoT devices and the digital twin infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IoT devices, data connectivity, and data quality. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in IoT and digital twin development. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions leveraging digital twin technology to enhance data center operations and efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation related to IoT infrastructure and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of digital twin capabilities within the broader data center ecosystem. What We're Looking For

This role requires a university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience with collecting and store data from physical systems or IoT. Additionally, proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and their implementation in project management is essential

In addition to that, we are looking out for the following:  

Strong understanding of IoT protocols, communication standards, security best practices, data collection, and broadcasting. Experience with data integration techniques and tools. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable. Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, C++, Java). Experience with time series databases is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with data center cooling technologies is a plus.

On a personal level, you can focus on the important details while maintaining a holistic view. You like to learn and can understand very complex situations and digital ecosystems. Finally, you are a strong communicator and proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
