IoT NPI Technical Specialist

This position is Hybrid out of Austin, TX

IoT NPI (New Product Introduction) Technical Specialist is a person responsible for on-board & support customer’s PoCs for E2E trials, inside the IOT Vertical, encompassing the whole scope of an IOT use case, with card, modules, devices, network, server. They are the key stakeholder responsible for the PoCs success.

The IoT NPI Technical Specialist primary responsibilities are:

To onboard customers on the IoT PoC platformTo provide technical expertise to customers during integration and validation of PoC, propose pre-tested devices & modulesTo follow-up and to support customers during his End2End tests until PoC completionTo continue knowledge ramp-up and to cooperate with the End2End team in France with a possible participation to the End2End validation tests

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics or related disciplineMinimum of 5 years of experience in technical leadership, solution architect, development or similar preferably in Telco/IoT sectorSelf-motivated and autonomous, with strong technical backgroundExcellent verbal and written communication skills in an international environmentKnowledge on device integration & testingStrong knowledge of IoT devices (firmware, OS, secure domain like TEE/TZ, security technologies and knowledge of secure IP/ROT, specific APIs/ protocols like MBED TLS-PSA API, SCP03 or SCP11,…)Knowledge of cellular technologies 2G to 5G – standard, ecosystem, technology bricks and low power technologies NB-IoT, CAT-M1Knowledge of SIM/eSIM technology (GSMA standards SGP.22 and SGP.32, communication and security protocols)

Preferred Qualifications:

Good knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, code review, testing, and releaseAble to work under pressure and manage priority as context evolvedAble to diagnose and to resolve problems

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC): 132,921.15 - 177,228.20 - 216,600.00 USD Annual

This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
