Schwab has been doing in-house, native mobile development for several years but every business channel in Schwab is increasing their presence on the mobile platform. Position Responsibilities:
Build and support mobile applications and prepare documentation per Schwab mobile best practicesCreate and perform unit testing for the spectrum of mobile devicesSupport the mobile systems in production, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.Be available for evenings/weekends on-call support, as needed, being on a rotational basis with teamExpand your knowledge in mobile languages like Swift/Swift UI and ramp up on new technology and toolingStay on top of iOS framework & Swift updates, XCode version and related SDK upgradesDevelop compelling user experiences while meeting the needs of the mobile usersEngage with Product teams for innovating new features while maintaining Schwab development standardsSolve highly complex problems, identify viable options, and use analytical skills and judgment to recommend appropriate solutionsPropose solutions to improve efficiency based on thorough understanding of functional and business prioritiesImplement (along with team) standardized logging and monitoring frameworks and proactively drive defensive programming effortsDeliver assignments on timeWhat you haveRequired Qualifications:
7+ years of native iOS development, including working experience in Swift, Combine, UIKit and Swift UIExperience writing Unit Tests as well as Automated UI tests using XCode framework & AppiumExperience integrating with REST APIsExperience working with CI/CD pipeline and debugging issues that may ariseExperience debugging memory and performance issuesExperience working with design patterns that leverage dependency injections (DI)Experience working with native accessibility features such as VoiceOver and Dynamic TypeExposure to updating apps to comply with Apple's iOS and Swift version upgradesExcellent written/verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldPreferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Reactive architectureExperience with iterative development methodologies such as TDD and BDDUnderstand modern design patterns and industry standard best practicesExhibit great interpersonal skills to thrive in a distributed enterprise grade environmentExperience working in a fast-paced Agile environmentUnderstands scaling, performance and availability concerns.Understand the importance of gaining consensus and how to persuade others based on expertiseBe comfortable with problem-solving even with faced with ambiguous or incomplete dataExercise good judgement in analyzing and sequencing work for delivery every sprint and every quarterAble to identify stakeholders, asses their needs and manage their expectations through effective communicationIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
