The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join ION as a Senior Technical Consultant. As a Senior technical consultant, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing and implementing the customer requirements while mentoring other team members. You will work with business analysts, clients and team members to design and implement product customizations and interfaces.

Key Responsibilities: Present the projects technical solution to client representatives. Support client training services. Consult with clients technology users to determine technical requirements to be addressed by the ION solution. Provide guidance to Technical Consultants. Follow ION documentation standards and resolution process flow for all deliverables. Keep Line Manager and Project Manager(s) informed regarding the status of assigned responsibilities. Maintain full chargeability on client account(s) as assigned. On-site consultants may be required to travel to the customer site to work on projects as needed.

Development role:
Provide technology advice, design, analysis, custom code development, and troubleshooting in the discovery workshop, design, configuration, testing, and production support of the ION solution for the clients business needs. Participate in and support the architectural design decisions regarding interfaces between ION solution and other systems, as well as the technical approach for custom scripts and reports, and gain the clients confidence in the recommended approach.

Systems role:
Provide technology & infrastructure design advice to clients. Participate in requirements analysis and product deployment & configuration at client site. Provide clients with a full range of technical support services for troubleshooting technical & performance issues. Participate in Upgrade Assessments as well as upgrade projects. Conduct thorough System Health Assessments for clients production environment covering presentation, application, database, and network layers. Provide client training services in the product technical architecture, troubleshooting and performance tuning areas.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a directly related IT field. 5 years experience in Software Design and Development and/or deployment. Minimum 3 years direct experience working with ION product in designing, coding, configuring, testing, and debugging reports, plugins, and interfaces for ION solution in client environments. Experience working with at least one object-oriented languages such asC# .NET, Java, C . Preferred Skills: Experience in the energy, commodities or financial field or working with an ETRM/ or CTRM system. Experience with DBMS such Oracle, MS SQL Server, Access, Sybase is required. Experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting installations of enterprise software in client environments. Experience in Interface design and implementation following standard integration patterns.
