Characterize and validate touch, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, Inertial measurement unit for smart wearables.Optimize sensor performance based on validation resultDocumenting and presenting test results to engineering teamsWorking with cross-functional teams to assure that sufficient and accurate testing is implemented

Work Experience

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

5+ years of Electrical System Verification for consumer electronicsExperience with the definition of validation test plans and writing detailed electrical validation SOPs.Experience owning significant areas of electrical validationExperience executing electrical validation on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber.Understanding of board schematics and board layout. Ability to find proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT.Working knowledge of Python, and LabVIEW for data processing and automation.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experienceA team player with strong communication skills. A self-motivated person who thrives in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:

Programming skills to develop software/firmware/scripts for validation, characterization, and prototyping (e.g. Python)Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, R etc.)Experience with firmware development (C/C++) is a plusKnowledge in I2C/SMBus, UART, SPI, USB, Network stack is a plusAbility to read schematicsExperience with code management tools like GitExcellent communication and collaboration skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PMAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Pay Range: $110,000-$135,000 a year
