We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Investors Relations Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

Market analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to monitor industry trends, competitor activities and economic developments affecting the bank, including maintaining internal databases to support the analysisResult preparation: Support GIR team in quarterly result preparation, including drafting the QA documentInvestor analyst engagement: Point of contact with investors and sell side analysts, to provide timely response to incoming questionsInternal stakeholder engagement: Provide timely updates to senior management on market developments and investor feedbackCredit rating agencies: Coordinate engagement between credit rating agencies and senior management, including preparing the briefing documents ahead of meetingsSupport the team with other ad hoc analysis and project work as required

Good knowledge of financial modelling and analysis, including valuationAbility to work under time pressure and working with limited supervision, notably in the preparation of the quarterly Presentation to Analysts and Investors documentSelf-starter: natural curiosity and confidence to tackle new and unfamiliar topics – research, analysis, identifying key questions and issues, tracking down the people who have the answersTeam worker: able to collaborate and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, inside the bank (IR, Finance, business colleagues) and externally (analysts, investors)Strong understanding of HSBC’s business and commercials for example what we do, where and how we do it, key competitors, threats and opportunitiesGood understanding of the bank’s key financial information (income statement, balance sheet, capital etc)Able to explain and convey complex ideas clearly, in verbal and in written / graphical form. English proficiency is a must. Mandarin and Cantonese language skill is a plus
