WHO YOU ARE
You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, finance, accounting, or economics at an accredited college/university, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026 preferred.You have a preferred minimum GPA of 3.5Prior experience in a related capacity or obtained through rigorous academic coursework.You have proven analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills through course work, projects, and/or previous internship experience You have demonstrated use and application of coding languages to perform data analysis including back-testing.You have demonstrated use and application of artificial intelligence toolsets to perform data analysis, visualization and written output.You have experience using financial and statistical models.You have strong verbal and written communication skillsYou have demonstrated leadership and teamwork through projects and/or extracurricular involvementWHAT YOU’LL DO
The Investment Research Analyst role will provide quantitative analysis for use in investment selection, portfolio construction, product development, or asset allocation decisions. Use of coding skills to integrate various data sets to perform financial and statistical modeling will be frequent. The same skills will be used to evaluate and attribute the investment outcomes of those decisions against targets and peers. The analyst will collaborate with senior members to obtain guidance and will independently apply data analysis and modeling skills to generate theoretical outputs that can be employed in production processes. Successful candidates will understand financial markets, macroeconomics, risk metrics and investment objectives at the product and client level. The role will require continuous learning to build company and client knowledge, in addition to various technical applications.

$58,000 - $65,000 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
