Investment Product Manager
Vanguard
The Investment Product Manager provides active product expertise to crew and clients. He/She collaborates with business and investment teams, in a dynamic environment, to ensure the health and success of actively managed mutual funds and ETFs. Vanguard manages nearly $2 trillion in active strategies globally, including for Canadian investors.
Core Responsibilities
+ Provides product expertise for actively managed equity and multi-asset strategies and ensures the health and commercial success of the products in Canada.
+ Conducts analysis of challenges confronting Vanguard's product line-up. Leverages and manages cross-functional teams as required. Prepares and presents strategic analysis and recommendations to senior management at various forums.
+ Acts as an active equity investment expert both internally and externally in the industry. Provides investment support and guidance to relationship management and sales teams; is regularly called upon to participate in meetings with clients, acting as a proxy for Vanguard's portfolio managers. The candidate will serve as the primary contact in delivering investment expertise and capital markets perspective about the markets.
+ Stays closely connected with internal and external sub-advisors as well as global Vanguard peers
+ Attends and presents at industry conferences and client specific events related to the product category of focus.
+ Leverages the client and sales feedback on products to assess product health and drive ongoing product improvements and positioning.
+ Supports the creation of dynamic content used to position Vanguard investment products and to respond to investor queries.
+ Creates and facilitates internal training and communications including training on launches and changes to existing products. Ensures coordination and consistency of product-related marketing initiatives and external communications across divisions.
+ Stays current on industry, market, product, and competitive trends in the local markets supported.
+ Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Five years of related work experience, including three years in product management and investment analysis/strategy or manager research.
+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
+ CFA preferred.
