Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Analyst / Associate to join the UK Institutional Sales team in our London office. You will ultimately be responsible for supporting the team in asset raising across a variety of institutional clients within the UK, including Pensions Schemes, Insurers and Family Offices. This is a sales support role, with an opportunity to grow into a direct sales role over time.

Team Profile

The UK Institutional Sales team is a small and dynamic group within Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s Global sales force. Responsible for institutional relationships across Corporate & Local Authority Pension Funds, Insurance companies, Family Offices, Charities, Endowments and Foundations. There will be strong collaboration within the team, but also a large degree of independence required for this role, as client facing team members are often travelling.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Head of UK Institutional Sales, this individual will have the opportunity to:

Develop a deep understanding of MSIM’s suite of investment strategies across Equity, Fixed Income and AlternativesAssist in the preparation and customisation of client presentations, pre-meeting research, RFPs and ad-hoc client requests. The candidate may also be required to host client meetings or calls on behalf of othersBe responsible for market mapping and lead generation. Identifying and prioritising existing and new business opportunities to support the growth of the UK businessCoordinate client events, road shows and meetings, representing MSIM in public as appropriatePro-actively develop relationships with other internal departments (product management, investment teams, marketing, etc.) as well as across other divisions of the FirmMaintain, create and update relevant information in the CRM database, including firms, key contacts, opportunities and meeting notesLead and/or support on key strategic initiatives for the team


What we’re looking for:

Strong academic credentials from a leading university; Bachelor's Degree ideally in Business, Finance or a related field, or equivalentRelevant experience in a sales support or client service roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesProficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)Investment Management Certificate preferred but not required
