Investment Banking Associate - Mid-Cap IB
About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Banking Program Associate to join our Mid-Cap Investment Banking team. The Associate will be responsible for working on client coverage materials, conducting industry research and screening, transaction origination and execution of the full range of investment banking products and services.


In this role, you will:

Work to support the business strategy and relevant teams to expand Wells Fargo’s investment banking activities in the regionSupport senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, which aligns with consistent coverage of Wells Fargo Commercial Banking clientsPrepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda and management presentationsKeep abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamicsCoordinate closely with internal and external resources to help arrange client meetings and important engagementsPerform financial analysis, including comparable transactions and public company analysisCreate detailed financial models used for valuation purposesConduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transactionUtilize Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to present various pieces of analysisManage transaction logistics, including organizing data rooms and working group lists


Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Exposure to the full spectrum of a M&A transaction life cycle including origination and execution experiencePrior experience at a large investment banking platform and/or a leading securities firmSound analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to take on significant responsibilityHigh level of personal motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and a broad intellectual capacityComfortable functioning both independently and as part of a team, meeting stringent deadlines and work quality standardsPrior experience working in a demanding, highly focused, collaborative, team environment that required extended work hours from time to time.Team player that behaves ethically and with integrityBachelor’s degree in a relevant field


Job Expectations:

Registration for FINRA Series 63, 79, and SIE must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Additional Compensation Details:Base pay range for this position is $175,000-$200,000May be considered for an annual discretionary bonus

$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
