Investment Banking Analyst II – Private Credit Group (New York)
**Job Description Summary** The Investment Banking Analyst II will play a key role in supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of private credit transactions for key investment banking sponsor relationships. This mid-level analyst position is ideal for candidates with prior investment banking or credit underwriting experience who are looking to deepen their expertise in private credit markets. The role involves financial modeling, credit analysis, deal execution, and investor engagement across a range of private debt instruments. **Job Description** **Key Responsibilities:** **Origination & Analysis** + Conduct detailed credit analysis and due diligence on prospective issuers. + Prepare pitch books and marketing materials for client presentations. + Draft preliminary term sheets. + Monitor market trends in private credit and public debt. + Maintain investor CRM, databases and support investor outreach efforts. **Execution Support** + Assist in the preparation of credit approval memorandums. + Coordinate internal deal approvals and manage documentation workflows. + Liaise with legal counsel, investors, and internal teams during transaction execution. **Portfolio & Market Monitoring** + Track performance of closed transactions. + Support ongoing dialogue with investors and contribute to relationship management. **Qualifications:** **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. **Experience:** + 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, credit analysis, or private debt. **Technical Skills:** + Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling. + Strong understanding of credit metrics, and accounting principles. + Familiarity with credit legal documentation for private credit. **Competencies:** + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and business writing abilities. + Ability to work on a lean team under pressure and manage multiple deadlines. + Team-oriented with a proactive and detail-focused mindset. **Compensation & Benefits:** + Competitive base salary and annual discretionary bonus. + Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and wellness programs. **Education** Bachelor’s: Accounting (Required), Bachelor’s: Business Administration (Required), Bachelor’s: Finance (Required) **Work Experience** General Experience - 13 months to 3 years **Certifications** Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) **Salary Range** $80,000.00-$110,000.00 **Travel** **Workstyle** Resident At Raymond James our associates use five guiding behaviors (Develop, Collaborate, Decide, Deliver, Improve) to deliver on the firm's core values of client-first, integrity, independence and a conservative, long-term view.
