Citizens Consumer & Retail Advisory team is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate for our Charlotte office. The associate will work closely with the team’s junior and senior professionals preparing, analyzing, and executing banking related transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market.
Our Analysts/Associates are exposed to multiple industries within our core areas of focus. In addition to key execution responsibilities, Analysts/Associates manage consistent deal flow and are a main point of contact for our clients. All Analysts/Associates have significant exposure to senior bankers and are involved in all stages of a transaction; they are an integral part of delivery to our clients and prospects.
Primary responsibilities include:
Managing and assisting with the preparation of financial models and business valuationsSupporting junior and senior team members in developing new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios (inclusive of equity, debt and/or M&A) to help the firm’s corporate and sponsor clients achieve their financial and strategic objectivesLeading / participating in meetings with current and prospective clientsConducting industry and company due diligencePreparing and reviewing information memoranda and other transaction documents: draft key marketing and key transaction related documentsPreparing and reviewing pitch/business origination materials and other presentations: develop and review pitches and other presentations and be an integral part of the team in delivering these presentationsAssisting business development effortsQualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
2+ years of work experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or similar role. Experience in Consumer & Retail sector is preferred.Intelligent and resourcefulProfessional / concise oral and written communicationStrong technical skills (knowledge of accounting, modeling, Excel, etc.)Excellent attention to detailSelf-starter / intellectual curiosityStrong work ethic / team player / high degree of humility, maturity, and integrityAbility to work efficiently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentPlease note that U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available for this position and candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.Hours & Work Schedule
