1301 Avenue of the Americas - New York, New York 10019We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join our Financial Sponsors Coverage team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with senior bankers, private equity firms, and corporate clients, helping structure and execute complex financial transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical foundation, deal execution experience, and a passion for learning in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Transaction Execution: Assist in the execution of leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and other debt financing transactions for private equity clients. Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials (e.g., pitch books, offering memorandums, management presentations).
- Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis
- Client Interaction: Work closely with senior bankers to develop and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms and other financial sponsors. Participate in client meetings, calls, and presentations.
- Market Research: Conduct market and industry research to support client engagements and business development efforts. Monitor trends in leveraged finance and private equity markets to provide insights to clients and senior bankers.
- Business Development: Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with financial sponsors. Assist in preparing pitch materials and presentations for prospective clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
- 1+ year of investment banking, corporate finance, or leveraged finance experience (internship experience included).
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Passion for the financial markets, corporate finance, and private equity transactions.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $105,000 to $125,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
