The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for tracking and managing inventory utilizing SFCB’s warehouse management system and protocols. Provides customer support and inventory control activities independently and through subordinates. Responsible for inventory accuracy, proper utilization of space, and overall operations coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

Directs the day-to-day activities of inventory control.Conducts daily inventory analysis to ensure accuracy of current inventory levels.Coordinates inventory replenishment with Operations team based on production schedules, current inventory, customer orders and forecasts.Ensure that all inventory transactions are following the proper inventory control procedures.Creates and maintains accurate inventory item databases.Understand the movement and staging of materials and how they relate to the operation of the warehouse.Generate and analyze regular reports on key metrics.Responsible for cycle counting program including personnel, tracking, reporting, and conducting physical inventories as needed.Communicate and collaborate with Warehouse and Shipping Supervisors daily to ensure product, equipment, and personnel needs are met.Communicate and collaborate with Finance team to ensure adherence to company cycle counting and inventory adjustment policies.Identify and implement cost reductions, develop reporting procedures and systems; facilitate corrections to identified issues; initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.Makes recommendations to management on programs to improve operational efficiency and increase inventory accuracy.Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

Required Qualifications

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsDemonstrates excellent critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills to include identification, analysis, and resolution.2+ years of warehouse supervisory experience2+ years of inventory control supervisory experienceProficient in inventory management software, Excel, Word and OutlookAbility to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals.Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as in a team environment.Knowledge of warehousing and distribution concepts.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Management or related field; or equivalent experienceSupervisory experienceWilling to work additional hours, including occasional Saturdays

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers; regulatory agencies or members of the business communityAbility to effectively present information to top management, groups and customers

Reasoning Ability:

Must be able to problem solve daily operational and/or long term planning issues.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend approximately half of their time in a warehouse environment and the other half of their time in an office environment.  Both are well- lit, clean, with normal/low noise levels, (less than 85dbc).
