Inventory Specialist
Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our Product and Inventory Control team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring efficient inventory management processes to support business operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all locations Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits Track inventory movements including receipts, transfers, and adjustments Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situationsSystem Management
Utilize inventory management systems to track and update stock information Ensure data accuracy in all inventory-related transactions Process receiving documents and update system records promptly Coordinate with IT on system improvements and troubleshooting Maintain product master data including SKUs, descriptions, and specificationsCross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with purchasing to optimize ordering and replenishment Coordinate with warehouse teams on inventory movements and storage Support sales teams with product availability information Collaborate with quality assurance on product inspections and holds Assist with vendor relations regarding inventory and delivery issuesRequired Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years experience in inventory management or warehouse operations Experience with inventory management systems(WMS/ERP preferred)Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong analytical and mathematical skills Experience with barcode scanning systems Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices Familiarity with cycle counting proceduresPersonal Attributes
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify root causes Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field • Certification in inventory management (APICS, CSCMP) Experience with lean inventory principles Knowledge of forecasting and demand planning Experience in retail or manufacturing environmentWho We Are
