Inventory & Materials Process Excellence Leader

Here you’ll interact daily with team members during the problem resolution process and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our internal customers and their responsibilities. **How will you make a difference?** As a member of the Global Operations Equipment group, you will be responsible for ideation, design, and implementation of critical strategic initiatives. We have three production facilities located here in Fort Worth. You will help bring a strong focus to continuously improving both our team and our processes. **What do we want to know about you?** The Materials Process Excellence Leader will demonstrate leadership within the Texas Locomotive Materials Organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading business activities related to inventory forecasting, controllership, & reduction/optimization for the Texas locomotive manufacturing (TXL) facility. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement efforts across the entire Texas materials value stream including scheduling, planning, warehousing, lineside materials, & fulfillment. You will frequently be expected to present to and answer questions from senior, executive, & senior executive leadership. **EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. + A minimum of four years work experience in a supply chain or manufacturing operations environment. + Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP or another ERP system. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications & data analytics tools. + Experience using tools to query databases & visualize datasets (ex. Power BI or another BI platform). + Demonstrates effective communication skills and interpersonal skills. + Experience with PowerBi & Power Apps is a plus **What will your typical day look like?** + Build & maintain direct material & inventory input/output models for the facility to forecast inventory balances, COGS, turns, & excess-on-order & zero-demand inventory (EZDI). + Create & participate in a communication framework to drive inventory discussions with senior, executive, & senior executive leadership, among other stakeholders. + Drive efforts to ensure the highest level of inventory controllership and accuracy and lead activities to prepare for and execute physical inventory. + Partner with various functions within the shop in identifying & executing various levers that can be used to optimize inventory (ex. planning parameters, safety stock optimization, EZDI reduction, PO reschedules & cancels, & manufacturing lead time reduction). + Develop tools and metrics in collaboration with the digitization team to optimize scheduling, planning, warehousing, lineside materials, & fulfillment strategies. + Lead action workouts that will help in identifying process improvement opportunities across the materials value stream and manage the implementation of these opportunities. + Work closely with the site materials manager in developing realistic and challenging goals for the materials/planning specialists while tracking established goals & metrics. + Be an expert on all plant materials processes & best practices, developing and implementing new processes where none exist. + Work as part of a cross functional team, driving a "one team" focus, dedicated to customer success within the shop. + Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, OSHA work practices, and industry/site-specific work rules. + Work with various MRP, quality, and MES software systems to manage material and other systemic requirements. + Be expected to perform and to execute your duties when direction is open-ended and support is limited. + Be expected to respond to issues and communicate quickly and effectively when time is of the utmost importance and to work long hours to ensure that the job gets done. + Be expected to work on-site at the locomotive facility in support of multi-shift manufacturing. The salary range for this role is between $77,400.00-$110,300.00 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
