Job Requirements
Job Description : Inventory Mitigation – Raw Materials (Castings, Forgings, and Other Standard Components)
Objective :
Lead and Support inventory mitigation initiatives aimed at optimizing raw material stock levels categorized under Excess & Obsolete inventory with a specific focus on raw materials Castings, Forgings, and other Standard components, and working capital without compromising production continuity.
Key Responsibilities :
• Analyze inventory data under obsolete and excess raw materials, particularly in castings, forgings and other standard components.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, production planning, and engineering teams to validate inventory disposition strategies.
• Coordinate with suppliers for consumption of RM's at inventory buy-back agreements, or resale opportunities.
• Lead root cause analysis to address systemic issues leading to inventory buildup.
• Implement mitigation actions such as rework, substitution, redistribution across plants, or design changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inventory mitigation activities and cost savings achieved.
• Support development and implementation of inventory optimization tools, dashboards.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Background in supply chain, manufacturing, or materials management.
• Analytical skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP), Teamcentre(PLM) & NX.
• Knowledge of castings, forgings, and other standard raw material specifications is preferred.
• Cross-functional collaboration and project management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives to closure.
