Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring efficient accurate inventory levels within our distribution center. This is in a very high pace work environment.

This position will be the main point of contact for all issues and needs from production planning sales product managers and other teams throughout the Tyson Organization. This position will also support the warehouse operations by closely aligning the inventory functions to facilitate operational excellence. The Inventory Operations Manager will be the senior on site manager when the DC Manager is away.

Additional responsibilities include:

Ensuring the correct charges for freezer services is documented and communicated to the accounting group.Overseeing all inventory functions including product movement cycle, counting, discrepancy and inventory balancing, researching, reporting etc.Overseeing operations administrative functions including pickup appointments filing of paperwork receptionist etc.Reviewing warehouse capacity and managing zoning and put-away logic within the warehouse management system.Reviewing slow moving product and working with outside cold storage group and product management group to move slow moving product out of distribution/logistics center.Holding and releasing product in conjunction with the QA department product managers etc.Overseeing the export document process; overseeing the administrative portion of the airfreight business including tracking costs and ensuring the lowest cost provider is used.Assisting facility manager in analysis and reporting of all financials.Managing pallet inventories including Chep and hardwood as well as working with pallet venders.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: A degree in business, management, transportation, logistics, or an equivalent training from a vocational or technical school is preferred.

Experience: From 3 plus years’ experience.

Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal skills. Must be able to communicate with all levels of Team Members.

Travel: 1 - 5 Domestic trips a year.
