Inventory Controls Specialist I
**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Office **Job Description** **Position Summary** **:** The Inventory Control Specialist role is joining a strong logistics team focused on providing excellent customer service and managing service part inventory. The logistics team is positioned to communicate between internal partners, such as engineers, factories, buyers and planners, as well as an external 3PL provider. This role will support a critical communication pipeline while offering an opportunity to showcase problem solving and analytical skills. Those with strong communication skills, a flexible approach, strong work ethic and ability to thrive in an autonomous environment will be successful in this role. **Primary Responsibilities** **:** Act as central point of contact between IES Logistics and cross-functional partners Maintain systematic inventory alignment between SAP and 3PL WMS Monitor daily EDI transmissions and resolve iDoc failures to maintain flow of information Review daily cycle count results, seek adjustments approvals as needed, make necessary system adjustments and file claims for lost parts Work with field engineers to resolve trunk stock discrepancies, make systematic stock transfers and expense parts Support daily accountability meetings through data gathering and analysis Coordinate annual field trunk stock counts, including visual part verification and meeting financial audit requirements Monitor weekly performance indicators, provide data driven analysis and problem resolution Resolve CRM concerns, identify trends, collaborate with partner groups to mitigate further issues and attend service improvement meetings as required Use SAP to schedule regional sales and stock transfer orders from global distribution centers Action shortages, cancelations and returns that may impact order cycle time Review sales order backlogs and prioritize based on customer entitlement **Personal Profile** **:** Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships cross-functionally Time management strength – deadline oriented and results driven Supply chain knowledge and experience Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and computer literacy Ability to work under pressure and cope with tight deadlines in a potentially challenging environment Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy Customer-focused, putting the customer at the center of all your decisions and activities Innovative and open to new ideas, embracing new ways of working to support the business strategy Accountable for actions by setting and delivering against clear expectations **Requirements** Bachelor’s degree 1-2 years supply chain experience with international exposure preferred Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel SAP knowledge preferred United States based Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
