YOUR ROLE:
Come join us as Inventory Control Lead at our Benalla site. The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of inventory management within the organization. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, develops and implements inventory control procedures, supervises inventory staff, and collaborates with other departments to maintain optimal stock levels and support operational requirements.
Working at our Benalla site, on Pangerang and Yorta Yorta Land, your exciting new career opportunity will see you:
Supervise and guide inventory control team members, including assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.
Conduct regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and full physical inventories to verify stock accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize risk of loss.
Generate and analyse inventory reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure inventory meets organizational needs.
Investigate and resolve issues related to damaged, misplaced, or obsolete inventory.
Maintain inventory management systems (ERP/WMS), ensuring data is current and reliable.
Support audits (internal and external) and provide required documentation regarding inventory records.
Train staff on proper inventory handling, recording, and safety procedures.
Recommend strategies for optimizing inventory levels, reducing excess, and controlling costs.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of inventory management software and systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Implementation of continuous improvement tools (Gemba Walks, 5S, just-in-time, Plan Do Check Action (PDCA)).
Use of digital tools/dashboards to manage your activity (analyses, decision support).
Know how to listen and mobilise resources in a context of mutual respect.
