Job Description
This position is responsible for the receipt and organization of materials, supplies, and donor samples at the laboratory, as well as assigned duties related to facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
Record and maintain control of all inventory items purchased and produced.Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.Perform administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment. This may involve the use of computer systems, internet searches, or phone communications with appropriate follow-up.Perform physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.Operate material handling equipment such as automated carriers, pallet jacks, hand trucks, conveyors, compactors, and forklifts safely. Assist with maintenance and inspections of the equipment.Participate in regular mandatory equipment training and maintain Fork Truck certification as required by OSHA.Receive materials, supplies, and specimens from delivery services and document them on appropriate logs. Unpack and reconcile products against packing lists.Troubleshoot, communicate, investigate, and begin resolution for all inbound and outbound sample shipment delays.Organize all materials, supplies, and specimens in the appropriate storage areas. Inspect stocks and distribute inventory materials.Ensure materials and goods inventory controls security and accountability.Prepare and organize materials which are shipped to other locations and maintain shipping records.Follow all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and rules.Essential Skills
Basic computer skillsPrior experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or logisticsAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with SAP preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelAbility to lift or carry up to 50 lbsAbility to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other informationAbility to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communicationsAbility to frequently walk, stand, and bend with a moderate amount of time squattingWork Environment
The position is based in a lab/warehouse environment with a 1st Shift Schedule from 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is required every other week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
