Job Description
This role is designed for Second Shift.
Summary
The Stockroom Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to lead and coordinate the stockroom, shipping, and receiving functions at one or more production facilities.
Position Responsibilities
Establish primary and bulk locations for new parts in the stockroomWork with planning and production control to ensure that work orders are pulled and available to be built on the production floor in support of the production planCoordinate filling of shortages when materials come inTake the lead in performing and reporting cycle countingResponsible for the daily output of the stockroom, shipping, and receiving in support of production, product development, and engineering projectsEnsure that all inventory transactions are processed in a timely mannerWork with Purchasing to resolve work order shortages. Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unitHelp coordinate implementation of engineering changes with Planning, Engineering and PurchasingSet priorities within the stockroom when necessary; Enforce stockroom security policyProvides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals and maintain schedulesDirects subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures & policiesOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
A High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredA minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in supervising a stockroom is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experiencePrior experience with inventory control, shipping and receiving is requiredAbility to write and implement material handling and control procedures is neededAbility to lead and mentor a small materials teamAbility to comprehend purchasing and inventory data in a computerized MRP systemKnowledge of safe material handling practices and the safe handling of electro-static sensitive devices (ESD)Ability to train others in the proper use of inventory control practices; track down and resolve inventory discrepanciesRequires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibilityOther Qualifications & Desired Competencies

$62,741 - $88,935AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
