Inventory Control Specialist 1

Starting compensation: $21.00 per hour (plus a $1.50 shift differential)

Shift Details: Sunday to Thursday, 1PM to Finish, or Monday to Friday, 1PM to Finish

\n

Summary:

\n

This position is responsible for compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment.  

\n

Follow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.

\n

Essential Duties: 

\n\nReporting any accidents, injuries, malfunctions on equipment, and safety issues and/or unsafe practices immediately to a Supervisor.\nCounting material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.\nComparing inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.\nVerifying clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.\nCompiling information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.\nPreparing reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.\nPreparing list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.\nPerforming other duties as assigned to meet business needs.\n\n

Qualifications: 

\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\nOne to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays\nMust be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from -5 F to ambient temperature\nability to observe surroundings, packages, and labels at both close and far distances\n\n
