Inventory Control Manager

Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$91,800 - $108,000

Job Summary

This position objective will be to manage and lead all aspects of inventory management and teams in all areas of Purple facilities for all raw materials, components, finished goods and non-inventory items. This individual will coordinate with the Senior Operations Manager for all inventory issues and discrepancies for fast resolutions and will work closely with all warehouse supervisors and PM leads in the warehouse such as: Receiving, Kitting (large and small), Inventory, Put-Away/Replens and other departments like: Fulfilment (Wholesale, DTC, or Pick Tower), Production/Manufacturing for the development and daily monitoring of lean, efficient warehouse inventory practices, as well as balancing between systems.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage, Audit and Supervising activities of warehouse inventory of all raw materials, finished goods and consumable (non-inventoried) items. Maintain close communication with Warehouse Manager on all areas of planned audit, scheduling, performance, inventory audit attendance/schedules, and efficiencies needed during all warehouse shifts for constant inventory controls.  Provide reports as needed to notify all parties involved of anomalies of inventory and incorrect or open issues to be resolved within a specific period. Skills needed to coach, counsel, and discipline employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending immediate actions or changes needed by the business; adhering to all Safety, HR and Warehouse Policies and Procedures. Coordinate Cycle Counts, including quarterly Cycle Count Plan, directing inventory controllers to follow plan, and approving adjustments for inventory adjustments, updating Cycle Count progress report with counts done, progress made, and root cause filled out. Work closely with Put-Away/Replens Supervisor and designated material handlers to move product as needed as per findings by inventory team to correct physical product locations.  Have designated inventory specialists monitor all racks and other storage areas for accurate inventory controls. Have designated inventory specialists for the Kitting, production (scrim peak) and assembly lines (mattress and IMM) for raw material on hand and consumption monitoring. Plan and manage cycle-count times, teams and locations with findings and corrections needed with timeline for completion. Work closely with Logistics, Finance and PW Inventory team to set up inventory audit timelines and maintain inventory controls and standards, Accomplishes Inventory goals and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Completing and setting up Daily Comparison between systems (HighJump/ Netsuite). Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, Experience:

Four-year degree- in Business or Analytics is preferredInventory Management Experience—Minimum of 5 years Strong Supervision and Planning Skills Trouble Shooting ExpertiseCycle Count and Inventory Audit experience Data Entry Management ERP and WMS (Warehouse Management System) knowledge Dependability Reporting Skills Analyzing Information Dealing with Complexity Deadline-Oriented Time Management Organization Will be able to operate a Forklift, pallet jack, and Order picker.
