POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Clerk assists in the purchase of general maintenance supplies and materials for the resort to ensure adequate supplies while maintaining Big Cedar Lodge quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Establishes minimum and maximum inventory levels, re-orders points, and turn-around times on items kept in stock.
Maintains a good working relationship with Big Cedar Lodge vendors and Accounts Payable department.
Obtains proper authorization on all orders and requisitions.
Receives, verifies quantities, and stores all goods purchased.
Alerts supervisor immediately of any problems regarding vendors, guests or associates.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Years of experience: Two
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of 10 key Accounting software; Maximo Database software; Inventory software; Order processing systems and MS Word, Word Perfect Word Processing software.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Other Skills and Abilities: The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
