Job Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and stockroom functions  Kitting of manufacturing orders to the production floor in a timely and accurate mannerPicking of parts for customer orders and forwarding to shipping departmentPerforming Cycle Counts and being a key participant in the annual Physical InventoryPutting incoming material away in proper locationsReview component shortages and bring parts to appropriate area upon receiptSupport Receiving, Return to Stock and de-kit material actionsEstablish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the corporate accounting objectives; maintain cycle count records to allow review by management and provide reports related to cycle count activityTo coordinate and oversee the daily cycle counts; investigate, identify and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overagesAudit processes along with paper flow errors and try to understand issues that may affect the accuracy of the inventoryOrganization of inventory areas and maintaining efficient material handling and storage • Ensure that all transactions are recorded appropriately in ERP systemLead and execute the annual physical inventoryCorrect inventory discrepanciesEnsures that FIFO is followedEnsures that customer orders are picked and delivered to shipping to meet customer requirementsEnsure that customer orders are shipped according to all approved process and on time to meet customer commitmentsEnsure product is received properly per approved processes and made available to end users in a timely manner

Education and Experience:

BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial)Associate’s degree in business, Mathematics, Economics preferred2 -5 years in an inventory control supervisory role in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of MRP, including backflushing and the use of phantoms in BOM’sMinimum 2 - 5 years of experience in Engineering/Manufacturing EngineeringExcellent communication skills both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong organizational, analytical and communication skillsAbility to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environmentThorough understanding of the ERP system and how inventory transactions flow through to ensure inventory accuracyExcellent communication skillsComputer Experience required including a working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, OutlookKnowledge of continuous improvementAbility to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude
